We welcome you to our 29th. District Web Site.
It is hard to believe that I am starting my 5th year as DDGM, and my tenure under my third Grand Master. I am so excited to work with RWGM Raymond T. Dieitz, he has many wonderful programs and initiatives planned for the next two years. From the Regional Traveling Gavel, to reduction in dues and fees to our veterans if they should chose to join the craft during his two years as RWGM. We will be supporting the welfare of our young children with the Raising a Reader program and helping our own Brethren with the creation of an Almoner's Fund in each lodge in the state. These visionary projects will put our basic goals as a fraternity, to help aid and assist, into real life attainable programs. Brother Dietz has set very ambitious membership goals for the next two years and I am confident that with the great momentum that the 29th district has shown and the new incentive programs from the Grand Lodge that we will be able to meet the challenge with recruitment. With continued use of the tools given us for retention and the dedication of our retention committees and the new Almoner's fund we should be able to significantly impact the retention of members. I am so happy with the way the 29th district has succeeded over the last four year and look forward to the continued success as we move forward with the help from each of you. From the support of our youth groups, the success of our blood drives, and putting forth some of the best degree work in the state based upon the feedback from our regional classes.
It is with great pride that I represent the 8 Lodges in this District, which geographically spans three counties in the South Western corner of our state, Washington, Greene, and Fayette County. With the leadership and direction of our Right Worshipful Grand Master Brother Raymond T. Dietz, Pennsylvania is continuing on our journey to become one of the most progressive jurisdictions’ in the world. We must follow that lead of progress by focusing upon making membership in our Fraternity an honored virtue, not only for ourselves and family, but also for the improvement of the communities we live in.
With that said, I welcome you to our Web site, and hope that the information that is provided gives you a glimpse of our activities and achievements of our great District. We also welcome you to attend and join in fellowship with our Brethren in any one of our Lodges; you will be our honored guest.
Best to all of our Brethren
Sincerely and Fraternally
David L. Moore
29th District Deputy Grand Master
